Welcome to our British Shorthair Cats.

PKD tested 

Like so many others we started breeding cats after buying a pampered pet, got into showing and met other breeders. We just fell into breeding by accident. A very pleasant accident.

We are mother and daughter behind the S*Ardwyn prefix and now live 13 kilometers apart and have our own cats. Älmestad is out in the coutry in the hills northwest of Ulricehamn and Nitta is closer to Borås, the textile capital of Sweden, close to Gothenburg.

All of our cats, except one, are imported from England. One cat comes from Veldes Carnell, Misskin and the other four come from Moormist owned by Susan Newman who has also been our mentor and friend. One is from a Swedish breeder IDP*Smuggler .

Two neutered cats are from our own breeding after importing a pregnant female and unfortunately,unknown to us all,the English stud cat carried PKD.

Our cats live in our homes and share our everyday lives - even our fertile males. Our neuters remain in our households as young pensioners. Really, it's our cats who run our households and we live with them and are allowed to move freely around their homes.....
